Horrorville

Forget Halloween this year; I got a better party ahead of me – Airasia Horrorville Annual Party!

As tradition, Airasia throws an annual party for the employees at the end of each year. This year with no exception, we had one outdoor at the Sepang F1 Circuit Helipad area as our venue.

I can’t even describe how cool the party was. Starting from the venue, the theme – horrorville, and how everyone who dressed up scarily. Also, I couldn’t even comprehend that the guest performer was 50 cent!! I know I know, he totally followed me to Malaysia from the States.

Second performer was Shapeshifter which played out a line of jungle house electronic music – RAD!

This was by far the best company’s party I ever attended! Hands down!

Gold Guns Girls

All the gold and the guns in the world couldn’t get you off
All the gold and the guns and the girls couldn’t get you off
All the boys, all the choices in the world

I remember when we were gambling to win
Everybody else said better luck next time
I don’t wanna bend like the bad girls bend
I just wanna be your friend, is it ever gonna be enough?

Is it ever gonna be enough?
Is it ever gonna be enough?
Is it ever gonna be enough?

All the lace and the skin in the shop couldn’t get you off
All the toys and the tools in the box couldn’t get you off
All the noise, all the voices never stop

I remember when we were gambling to win
Everybody else said better luck next time
I don’t wanna bend like the bad girls bend
I just wanna be your friend while you’re giving me a hard time

I remember when we were gambling to win
Everybody else said

Is it ever gonna be enough?
Is it ever gonna be enough?
Is it ever gonna be enough?

Ooh, ooh
More and more, more and more
More and more, more and more
And more and more, more and more
More and more and more and more

John Legend Bali at Potato Head Beach Club

JOHN LEGEND IS IN THE HOUSE PEOPLE!!

*gasping* *choking* *cringing*

Ok, after debating in and out of life, I finally made it to John Legend’s show in Potato Head Beach Club Bali. I can’t explain it with words but his show was AMAZEBALLS. He came solo without his entourage; practically just him and the piano. It was so romantic and dreamy – it was perfection.

I almost cried when it ended.

The crowd got crazier after the show as the DJs start spinning their tunes throughout the venue. People were dancing and even jumped to the pool for… well let’s leave that blank for now. HA!! To make it even crazier, they a had huge huge firework show right on top of us to celebrate our Indonesian Independence Day that very same day. The firework got so big, it blacked-out the venue for like a minute. LOL!

We had such a great time, we didn’t want to leave but our feet were calling home and I was glad that we actually made it back to the hotel on foot with no sidewalks at 2.30 AM without any incidents.

Listen up

I may be late, but I’m really enjoying streaming music through SoundCloud these days. Discovering new music/artists gives me the kick to explore more of this website. Also, I’m so hooked with their music sets that lasts for hours. Anyhoo, I’ll dedicate Fridays to share my current tunes. I’ve been into dreamy-chillstep kind of music lately and this song has been on repeat for the past two weeks.

Have a great weekend!

Reminscing DWP 2012

I was contemplating whether to make a post out of this, but I thought this event was so awesome that I still have this euphoria for days.

dwp1
dwp2 dwp3This was my first time going into a rave party in Indonesia. My last one was back in Miami for Ultra Fest few years ago. To my surprise, I had such a great time in DWP from the beginning to end and even through the heavy rain, the party was still going hard. This is exactly what I remembered in Miami. They rocked the crowd regardless rain or shine.

I was so excited to finally see one of my favorite musicians Late Night Alumni. I have been a big fan since their first single “Empty Street”. Only recently this year they started performing live to the audience. I remembered their first performance was early this year in Salt Lake City. Too bad that it took place during the week and I couldn’t go there to see it. I was able to redeem myself that night in front of the beautiful angelic voiced, Becky.

The other two favorites would be Calvin Harris and Avicii. They performed back to back at the same stage outdoor, and that’s when the heavy rain starts to go crazy. The thunder and lighting were like a disco ball on steroids up in the sky. But of course the rain didn’t stop us to stay in the field and dance away. Epic!
